Role Overview
The Commis III – South Indian is an entry-level role responsible for assisting in basic food preparation and supporting the kitchen team in the South Indian section. The role focuses on learning kitchen operations, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring timely support during service.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation Support
- Assist in basic preparation such as cutting vegetables, cleaning ingredients, and grinding batter.
- Support preparation of South Indian dishes like idli, dosa, vada, chutneys, and sambar under supervision.
- Assist in plating and garnishing as instructed.
- Provide support during service hours to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain proper mise en place for the South Indian section.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and assist in daily kitchen tasks.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
- Follow food storage and FIFO practices.
- Keep workstations and kitchen areas clean and organized.
Inventory Support
- Assist in storing and organizing ingredients and supplies.
- Report shortages, spoilage, or damages to the supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
- 0–1 year of experience.
- Basic knowledge of South Indian cuisine preferred.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
