Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer – NPD to manage New Product Development activities in our Machine Shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle new product development and machining trials.
- Develop machining processes for CNC Turning, Turn-Mill, VMC, Grinding and Conventional Machines.
- Prepare process sheets, SOPs, setup sheets and control plans.
- Conduct feasibility studies, PFMEA/DFMEA and process validation.
- Coordinate with R&D, Quality and Production teams.
- Handle APQP/PPAP and First Article Inspection activities.
- Optimize cutting tools, fixtures, jigs and machining parameters.
- Guide operators and setters during trials.
- Ensure quality, cost and on-time delivery of development parts.
- Smoothly hand over developed products from NPD to Production.
- Drive continuous improvement in cycle time, rejection and machining cost.
Skills
- Good knowledge of CNC machining and process development.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plans.
- Experience in carbon product machining will be an added advantage.
- Good leadership and problem-solving skills.
