Job Description – Sous Chef (Hot Kitchen – Indian)
Location: CST Fort, Mumbai
Salary: Up to ₹80,000

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef (Hot Kitchen – Indian) to assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and supporting the Executive Chef in maintaining consistency, efficiency, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing menus
- Oversee daily operations of the hot kitchen section
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety
- Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff
- Manage kitchen schedules and staff performance
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement
- Ensure timely food preparation and service during operations
- Handle kitchen issues efficiently and maintain smooth workflow
- Implement and follow SOPs and industry best practices
Requirements & Skills:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef in Hot Kitchen (Indian Cuisine)
- Strong knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Proven experience in team management and kitchen supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Good understanding of kitchen operations, food cost control, and inventory management
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic MS Office
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
