Genie on Hire (GoH) is a platform focused on enabling event staffing, gig opportunities, and innovative marketplace solutions for events, hiring, and services. The City Head will play a key role in driving growth, operations, and market leadership in Pune.
Role Overview
The City Head will act as the business owner for the Pune market, responsible for revenue growth, operations, team building, partnerships, and ensuring exceptional client and Genie experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive city-level revenue targets and P&L
- Conduct daily reviews with sales and operations teams
- Build strong demand pipeline with events, colleges, and corporates
- Hire, train, and manage high-performing teams (interns & full-time)
- Develop and execute Genie onboarding and activation strategy
- Ensure smooth payment operations and improve payment cycle to 15 days
- Engage with high-value clients and drive repeat business
- Work with digital marketing team to increase platform traffic and engagement
- Explore and scale new revenue streams (event listings, sponsorships, drop shipping, ticketing)
- Build strategic partnerships across colleges, event organizers, and corporates
- Monitor and improve unit economics and operational efficiency
- Ensure high Genie satisfaction, utilization, and retention
- Provide product feedback and identify platform improvements
- Ensure compliance, risk management, and process discipline
- Build scalable SOPs for expansion to other cities

Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in sales, operations, or business management
- Experience in startup, marketplace, or event industry preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Data-driven and execution-focused mindset
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Pay: ₹960,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
