About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Specialist (IT Sales) to generate new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate should have experience selling IT services such as Web Development, Mobile App Development, AI/ML, Cloud Solutions, Digital Marketing, or Software Development services to global clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through LinkedIn, Upwork, Freelancer, Clutch, cold emailing, networking, and referrals.
- Research prospective clients and identify their business needs.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads.
- Conduct discovery calls, client meetings, and product/service presentations.
- Prepare customized proposals, quotations, and commercial agreements.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
- Coordinate with technical and project teams to prepare accurate estimates.
- Build long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Maintain CRM records with accurate sales updates.
- Track market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
- Participate in client meetings across different time zones when required.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of IT services and software development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in B2B sales.
- Lead generation through LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other prospecting tools.
- Proposal writing and client negotiation.
- CRM management (HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Salesforce, etc.).
- Knowledge of Upwork, Freelancer, Clutch, and other bidding platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and convert them into business opportunities.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a target-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Applications, IT, or a related field.
- MBA (Marketing) is preferred but not mandatory.
- 2–5 years of experience in IT Sales or Business Development.
