Job Summary
The Air Import Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end air import operations, ensuring timely shipment processing, accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service through effective coordination with airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate end-to-end Air Import shipments.
- Review and process import documentation including AWB, invoices, and shipment records.
- Coordinate with airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, and transport providers for timely shipment clearance and delivery.
- Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to customers and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, SOPs, and customer requirements.
- Handle shipment exceptions and support issue resolution.
- Maintain operational records and support billing activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in Air Import operations within Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry.
Skills
- Knowledge of Air Import processes and documentation.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Customer-focused with good problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in MS Office and freight management systems.
- High degree of confidentiality and compliance is a pre-requisite.
