Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SCADA & Automation Project Manager to lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of the complete SCADA and automation ecosystem for water distribution networks. The role includes ownership of collector wells, booster sumps, bulk pumping stations, District Metered Areas (DMAs), and the Central Control Room (CCR). The successful candidate will manage the full lifecycle of PLC panels, distribution instrumentation, GPRS/LTE communication networks, SCADA software, servers, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies for distribution SCADA rollout in alignment with Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and AMRUT 2.0 guidelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients (ULBs/State Jal Boards), hydraulic consultants, OEM vendors, civil subcontractors, and internal site teams.
- Monitor procurement, installation, PLC/SCADA software development, and commissioning activities across remote pump houses, DMA boundary nodes, and the CCR.
- Ensure seamless integration of bulk and zonal flow meters, pressure transmitters, reservoir level sensors, and GPRS/LTE communication modems with remote RTU/PLC stations and the CCR.
- Review and approve technical drawings, hydraulic control philosophies, I/O lists, network architectures, and valve actuator integration designs.
- Manage Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), loop testing, hydraulic system integration, and punch-list closure.
- Track project risks, delays, and costs while ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, contractual obligations, and Ministry of Jal Shakti APBI standards.
- Conduct weekly progress meetings, prepare detailed status reports, manage operator training, compile as-built documentation, verify system backups, and execute final handover to the O&M team.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- 12–15 years of experience in water distribution or transmission automation project management.
- PMP certification is an added advantage.
