Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Sr. Web Developer to join our IT team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing web applications and company websites. The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and the capability to manage web development projects independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive and user-friendly websites and web applications.
- Develop new web features and improve existing applications based on business requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, secure, and scalable code.
- Work on both front-end and back-end development.
- Integrate APIs, databases, third-party services, and other business applications.
- Optimize website performance, speed, security, and responsiveness.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and application errors.
- Manage website hosting, domain, SSL, backups, and basic server-related requirements.
- Perform database development, maintenance, and optimization.
- Ensure websites are compatible across different browsers and devices.
- Implement security best practices and protect applications from common web vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with IT, management, and other departments to understand and implement business requirements.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain proper technical documentation.
- Monitor website/application performance and take corrective action when required.
- Stay updated with the latest web development technologies and industry best practices.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Experience with modern frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong knowledge of back-end technologies such as PHP, Node.js, .NET, or similar.
- Good knowledge of MySQL, SQL Server, or other relational databases.
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party API integrations.
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub or other version-control systems.
- Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of website security, performance optimization, and SEO fundamentals.
- Experience with hosting/server environments such as cPanel, Linux, IIS, or cloud platforms is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, MCA/ MCS or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in web development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
