Senior Engineer – Full Stack (Risk & Compliance Platform)
Role Overview
Join the TES LegalTech – Risk & Compliance engineering team to build and enhance platforms that support Target's governance, risk, compliance, and legal operations. Our applications enable critical business capabilities through modern, cloud-native technologies including Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, React, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
As a Senior Engineer, you'll partner with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions while helping modernize our platform and drive innovation, including GenAI-enabled capabilities.

Design and develop scalable full-stack applications and backend services.

Build APIs and enterprise integrations.

About you
Must Have

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise applications.

Strong experience with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).

Experience building scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.

Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Experience participating in system design, code reviews, and production support.
Nice to Have

Experience with Kafka, GraphQL, Golang, Redis, Elasticsearch, or cloud-native technologies.

Experience with observability, CI/CD, or DevSecOps practices.

Exposure to GenAI, Python, LLM integrations, AI agents, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

Experience working in Risk & Compliance, LegalTech, Governance, or other regulated enterprise domains.
