Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, maintaining cleanliness standards, ensuring guest satisfaction, and coordinating daily housekeeping operations to keep guest rooms and public areas clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities1. Room Inspection & Quality Control
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house areas daily.
- Ensure rooms are cleaned according to hotel standards.
- Verify room readiness before releasing rooms for guest occupancy.
- Report maintenance issues and follow up on repairs.
2. Staff Supervision
- Allocate daily work assignments to room attendants and housekeeping staff.
- Monitor staff productivity and performance.
- Train new employees on cleaning procedures and hotel standards.
- Conduct regular briefings and departmental meetings.
3. Inventory & Linen Management
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, guest amenities, linen, and uniforms.
- Maintain stock records and submit purchase requisitions when required.
- Control wastage and prevent pilferage.
4. Guest Service
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints.
- Ensure special guest requirements are fulfilled.
- Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status and guest arrivals.
5. Coordination with Other Departments
- Work closely with Front Office for room availability updates.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Liaise with Laundry regarding linen requirements and shortages.
6. Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure compliance with hotel hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections.
7. Administration & Reporting
- Prepare daily housekeeping reports.
- Maintain attendance, leave records, and duty rosters.
- Track lost and found items according to hotel policy.
- Monitor departmental expenses and control costs.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Guruvayur, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Housekeeping management: 4 years (Required)
