*CDP Chef – Chennai’s Newest Beach Facing Cafe*
We are hiring a *CDP Chef* for a global style cafe by the beach.
We are looking for someone who can support day-to-day kitchen operations, handle food prep, maintain consistency, and work well with the team during service.
*Salary:* ₹27,000 – ₹30,000 per month
*Location:* Palavakkam Beach, Chennai
*Work Type:* Full-time, On-site
*Joining:* Immediate preferred
*What You’ll Do*
* Prepare ingredients, sauces, fillings, garnishes, and basic menu items
* Support daily kitchen setup and make sure your station is ready for service
* Assist senior chefs with cooking, assembling, and plating dishes
* Follow recipes, portion sizes, and kitchen SOPs
* Help maintain food quality, taste, and presentation
* Work quickly and cleanly during rush hours
* Keep your station, tools, counters, and equipment clean
* Support opening, closing, prep, and cleaning duties
* Inform the senior team about low stock, wastage, or quality issues
* Follow proper storage, labelling, FIFO, and hygiene practices
*What We’re Looking For*
* Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen or cafe kitchen experience
* Experience with cafe food, continental, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, breakfast items, or comfort food preferred
* Basic knife skills and food prep knowledge
* Ability to follow recipes and instructions properly
* Someone who can work cleanly, quickly, and calmly under pressure
* Fluent in Tamil; basic English understanding preferred
* Willing to work early mornings and late nights based on shift rotation
* Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices
*Good to Have*
* Experience in a busy cafe or restaurant
* Basic knowledge of stock handling or inventory logs
* Experience with sauces, desserts, baking, or beverage prep
* Hindi communication is a plus
