POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Security Analyst I will serve as the first-level security resource within the IT team, responsible for
executing and supporting day-to-day security operations currently performed by IT. This role will focus on deploying, maintaining, and monitoring security tools, ensuring security tool coverage across the
environment, and supporting baseline security operations. The IT Security Analyst I will work closely with IT operations and senior security personnel to ensure systems, endpoints, and users are properly protected and that security controls are consistently applied.
This position is hands-on and operational in nature, emphasizing security tool administration, coverage
validation, and routine security tasks rather than strategic security architecture or policy development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Deploy, configure, and maintain security tools across endpoints, servers, and cloud environments, including endpoint protection, email security, and monitoring tools.
· Ensure security tool coverage is complete and up to date, validating that all required assets are properly onboarded, protected, and reporting as expected.
· Monitor security/IT dashboards, alerts, and queues for suspicious activity or policy violations, escalating potential incidents to senior security staff as appropriate.
· Partner with IT teams to integrate security controls into standard IT processes such as device provisioning, deprovisioning, and system changes.
· Perform routine security operational tasks, including checking agent health, validating configurations, and remediating failed or missing deployments.
· Assist with vulnerability scanning and patch management activities by identifying gaps, coordinating updates, and tracking remediation status with asset owners.
· Maintain accurate documentation of security tools, configurations, asset coverage, and operational procedures.
· Support basic incident response activities by gathering logs, collecting evidence, and documenting security events.
· Stay current on security best practices, common threats, and tool capabilities to continuously improve operational security effectiveness.
Qualifications:
· 5-8 years of experience in IT, security operations, or technical support with exposure to security tools and processes.
· Working knowledge of endpoint management, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs).
· Familiarity with common security tools such as endpoint protection platforms, email security solutions, vulnerability scanners, and logging/monitoring tools.
· Understanding of foundational information security principles and best practices.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve operational security issues.
· Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams and communicate clearly about technical and security-related issues.
· Workspace ONE (or similar UEM) configuration and policy management experience.
· Microsoft Office 365 administration experience, EDR administration experience, including CrowdStrike (or comparable platforms), covering deployment, tuning, and alert triage.
· Strong knowledge management skills to build and maintain a security FAQ/response knowledge base.
· Proficient with Atlassian Jira and Confluence for ticketing, workflow, and documentation.
· Exceptional independent troubleshooting skills; researches and tests before escalating.
· Solid baseline workplace tech skills across common productivity tools and endpoint OS basics.
Preferred Qualifications:
· CompTIA Security+, Network+, or similar foundational security certification.
· Experience with tools such as CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Intune, Jamf, or SIEM platforms.
· Prior experience in an IT support, systems administration, or helpdesk role with security responsibilities.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,900,000.00 per year
