The Store Incharge will be responsible for end-to-end management of store operations including receipt, storage, issue, and control of materials related to engineering projects. The role ensures accurate inventory records, timely material availability for projects, and proper coordination with purchase, accounts, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Store & Inventory Management
-
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials as per Purchase Order, Delivery Challan, and Invoice.

Ensure proper storage, identification, and labelling of materials, spares, tools, and consumables.

Maintain accurate stock records (inward, outward, balance) both physically and in system (ERP/Excel).
-
Conduct regular stock verification and reconciliation with system records.
-
Ensure FIFO method is followed for issue of materials.
Material Issue & Control

Issue materials to projects, technicians, and departments against approved requisitions.

Monitor minimum stock levels and inform concerned departments for reordering.

Control excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory and report the same periodically.

At the time of dispatch, ensure that all materials are physically counted and verified in the presence of the responsible person handling dispatch. The quantity should match the delivery challan and invoice.
Documentation & Records

Maintain all store-related documents such as GRNs, issue slips, return notes, stock registers, and gate passes.

Coordinate with Accounts for invoice verification, stock valuation, and audit requirements.

Prepare periodic stock reports and submit to management as required.

After dispatching the material, it is mandatory to:

Obtain a signed and stamped copy of the delivery challan.

Collect the acknowledged tax invoice/bill.

Maintain proper records of all dispatch documents.
Coordination & Compliance
-
Coordinate with Purchase team for material follow-ups and delivery schedules.

Coordinate with Project, Service, and technical teams for material planning and usage.
-
Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and discipline in the store area.

Follow company SOPs, audit requirements, and statutory compliance related to stores.

Ensure proper coordination with the logistics team for timely and safe dispatch of materials.

Supervise and manage all third-party labour involved in loading activities. Ensure that materials are handled carefully to avoid any damage during loading and transportation.

After delivery, confirm with the client that the material has been received, the quantity matches the dispatch documents, and the goods are in good condition.

Qualification & Experience
-
Diploma / Graduate in any discipline (Engineering background preferred)
-
2-5 years of experience as Store In-charge / Store Executive in engineering, EPC, or project-based organizations

Experience in water treatment / wastewater / industrial projects will be an added advantage
