Job Overview:
The Gaming Script Writer will be responsible for creating compelling, engaging scripts specifically for GTA (Grand Theft Auto) YouTube content that drive viewer retention and channel growth. This role involves researching GTA game mechanics, updates, and strategies to craft attention-grabbing narratives around topics like best businesses, weapons, vehicles, money-making methods, and gameplay guides.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write engaging, well-structured scripts for GTA content including best businesses guides, weapon comparisons, vehicle reviews, money-making strategies, heist walkthroughs, and update breakdowns
- Create powerful hooks and intros that capture viewer attention within the first 5-10 seconds to maximize retention
- Conduct thorough research on GTA Online updates, new DLCs, game mechanics, meta strategies, and community discussions to ensure scripts are accurate and timely
- Develop unique angles for evergreen GTA topics (best businesses, top vehicles, fastest money methods) that differentiate content from competitors
- Write detailed breakdowns comparing GTA businesses, weapons, and vehicles with pros/cons, stats, and practical recommendations
- Create clear callouts for gameplay footage, text animations, stat comparisons, and visual cues to guide the editing process
- Collaborate closely with video editors to ensure script vision is executed with appropriate GTA footage
- Maintain consistency in brand voice, tone, and style while keeping content fresh and engaging
- Meet tight deadlines while consistently delivering high-quality, well-researched scripts
- Revise and refine scripts based on performance analytics, viewer comments, and client feedback
- Stay updated on GTA Online updates, patch notes, community trends, and YouTube best practices for gaming content
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in writing scripts for GTA YouTube channels
- Deep knowledge of GTA Online
- Excellent storytelling and creative writing skills with ability to make game strategies entertaining and easy to understand
- Understanding of YouTube content strategy, viewer retention tactics, and platform-specific best practices
- Strong research skills and ability to stay current with GTA updates, community discussions, and meta changes
- Ability to write in an engaging, conversational tone that resonates with the GTA gaming community
- Portfolio of previous GTA scripts
- Familiarity with GTA terminology, community culture, and popular content formats
