Job Summary
The Admission Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students and parents through the admission process, responding to enquiries, generating and converting leads, providing accurate information about academic programmes, and achieving enrolment targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle enquiries from prospective students and parents through phone calls, email, WhatsApp, social media, walk-ins, and other channels.
- Understand the student's academic background, interests, career goals, and requirements.
- Provide detailed information about courses, programmes, eligibility criteria, fees, scholarships, facilities, placements, and admission procedures.
- Counsel students and parents regarding suitable courses and programmes.
- Follow up with prospective students regularly to convert enquiries into applications and admissions.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, enquiries, follow-ups, applications, and enrolments.
- Manage and update student information in the CRM or admission management system.
- Schedule and conduct campus visits, counselling sessions, presentations, and admission meetings.
- Assist students in completing application forms and submitting the required documents.
- Explain admission policies, eligibility requirements, deadlines, fee structures, and payment procedures.
- Coordinate with academic, administration, finance, and marketing teams during the admission process.
- Participate in admission campaigns, education fairs, seminars, school visits, open houses, and outreach activities.
- Make outbound calls to prospective students from institutional databases and marketing-generated leads.
- Follow up with inactive, pending, and prospective applicants to improve conversion rates.
- Maintain professional communication and build strong relationships with students and parents.
- Address student/parent concerns and resolve admission-related queries promptly.
- Ensure that all admission information provided to students and parents is accurate and up to date.
- Achieve individual and team admission/enrolment targets.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on enquiries, follow-ups, applications, and conversions.
- Monitor the admission funnel and identify opportunities to improve conversion.
- Support students throughout the admission process until final enrolment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Degree/Diploma in Counselling, Psychology, Education, Marketing, or Business Administration is an advantage.
- 1–3 years of experience in admissions, student counselling, education sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong communication and interpersonal skills may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
