Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for technology, a keen eye for detail, and a basic understanding of automated testing processes. The candidate will work closely with developers and testers to automate test cases, improve software quality, and ensure smooth product releases. Freshers or candidates with up to 6 months of relevant experience are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Automation Development:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Collaborate with the development and testing teams to understand the functionality and design effective automated test cases.
- Ensure test scripts are scalable, maintainable, and reusable across different testing scenarios.
Test Execution & Reporting:
- Execute automated tests and report test results to identify defects and improvements.
- Log and track defects in a test management tool (e.g., Jira) and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
- Continuously monitor and improve automation test coverage to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration & Feedback:
- Work closely with developers to analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and propose improvements.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for software quality improvements based on test results and automated test executions.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation for test cases, test scripts, and test execution results.
- Prepare and present regular reports on test automation progress and quality metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Ability to write and maintain clear, effective, and efficient test scripts.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodology.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency in using test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins is a plus.
- Basic understanding of API testing and automation tools like Postman or REST Assured is an advantage.
