About the role
We're a luxury D2C brand - jewellery and accessories with a minimal, elegant aesthetic, selling across Southeast Asia and international markets. Our content has to work harder than most, it needs to feel premium on a 5-inch phone screen, convert in a competitive marketplace, and carry a brand voice that customers recognise instantly.
We're looking for a content writer who doesn't just fill briefs, someone who brings an angle, an eye for brand, and the editorial discipline to get it right the first time. You'll own content across the full funnel: website, marketplace, ads, email, and blog.
What you'll be doing
- Website copy - write and revamp home, collection, product, and landing pages in our brand voice.
- Marketplace content - SEO-optimised listings and A+ content for marketplaces like Shopee, Lazada, and Amazon, written for both search and conversion.
- Marketing copy - ad hooks, short-form scripts, and campaign messaging for social media platforms.
- Email sequences - Welcome flows, abandoned cart, and campaign mailers built to convert.
- Blog & long-form - storytelling-led articles, evergreen guides, and informational content with strong SEO structure, interlinking, and outlinking.
- Localisation - Adapt content for SEA audiences and sensibilities, preserving brand identity across markets. (Tonal and cultural adaptation is the expectation here.)
- Content planning - own the monthly content calendar, track industry trends, and come to planning sessions with ideas, not just availability.
- Cross-team collaboration - work closely with design and marketing on campaign briefs, product launches, and content rollouts.
What we're looking for
- 2–3 years of content writing experience in D2C, fashion, jewellery, beauty, accessories, or a comparable lifestyle category.
- Able to write for both performance (conversion, CTR, marketplace ranking) and brand (tone, elegance, storytelling).
- Understands SEA consumer behavior - how they discover, evaluate, and buy and writes with that context built in.
- Mobile-first by instinct - copy that is concise, scannable, and punchy without being stripped of personality.
- SEO fundamentals - keyword research, content architecture, internal linking, and marketplace search optimisation.
- Proactive with briefs - shows up with an outline, a point of view, or an angle, not a folder of reference links.
- Rigorous proofreader - clean copy before submission, every time, without exception.
- Internalises brand voice after onboarding and works independently from it - no sample required for every new piece.
- Uses AI tools and prompt engineering to improve output speed and quality - as a thinking aid, not a ghostwriter.
- Comfortable in a high-output environment - roughly 2,000 words a day across formats, not all of it glamorous.

- You rely on AI tools to generate content and submit it without a genuine editorial layer, angle, or voice added.
- You need a sample or reference to start every new piece of content after onboarding.
- You submit work without a thorough self-proofread.
- You respond to a brief with a pile of raw links instead of an outline or content plan.
- You're difficult to reach during working hours or resistant to real-time collaboration.
