Structural Design Engineer , 3–5 years' experience , Kochi
We are seeking a highly capable Structural Engineer with proven experience designing building structures across various typologies, including mixed-use, residential, retail, and commercial developments.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and demonstrated design expertisethroughout all project phases - from concept to IFC design stages
.Key Responsibilities
Undertake structural analysis and design across concept, schematic, and detailed stages, including development of 3D analytical models, engineering calculations, specifications, and technical drawings
. Ensure the technical integrity, accuracy, and quality of all structural designs produced.
Follow and support statutory authority submission processes and approvals.
Deliver high-quality design outputs in accordance with agreed timelines, scope, and client expectations.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and structural team members, managing design scope, schedule, and budget
. Mentor and guide graduate engineers and BIM technicians, fostering skill development in digital workflows and structural modelling.
Communicate technical designs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stay current with international and regional codes, standards, and best practices in structural engineering and digital delivery.
Contribute to the evolution of design innovation, particularly in the areas of sustainability, modular/off-site construction, and advanced materials
Proficiency in structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, Robot, STAAD, RAM, SAP2000, CSC, and Tedds. Familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit/Dynamo and parametric platforms like Rhino/Grasshopper is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated experience in BIM-based delivery and digital structural workflows.
Solid understanding of international and regional design codes, including American, local Middle East standards and Eurocodes.Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
. Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural design, preferably active involvement on projects in the Middle East region
Strong knowledge of regional authority requirements, local construction practices, and Middle East design codes and regulations.
