Job Summary
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality in the Bright Bar production line by implementing quality control procedures, monitoring process parameters, and ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 standards and customer requirements. The role includes inspection, documentation, and continuous improvement of quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control quality parameters in the Bright Bar manufacturing process such as peeling, straightening, polishing, and cutting.
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections as per quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 quality management system requirements.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and records.
- Handle customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and metallurgical teams to improve product quality and process stability.
- Perform internal audits and support external audits related to IATF standards.
- Monitor measurement instruments and calibration status.
- Ensure proper implementation of SPC, 7 QC tools, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain traceability and ensure adherence to customer specifications and standards.
Qualification
- B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering
Experience
- 3 – 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control in Bright Bar / Steel / Heat Treatment industry.
- Experience in automotive component manufacturing will be an added advantage.
Key Skills
- Knowledge of Bright Bar production processes (Peeling, Straightening, Polishing, Bar inspection).
- Good understanding of IATF 16949 requirements.
- Knowledge of SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with inspection instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
