Production Planning Assistant – Inventory, Purchase & Supply Chain Operations
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Planning Assistant to manage inventory planning, purchasing activities, stock updates, expiry analysis, pricing calculations, and wholesale customer operations. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal stock availability, accurate inventory records, and smooth coordination between suppliers, warehouse operations, and wholesale customers.
Key Responsibilities - Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all product categories.
- Perform regular stock audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Track stock movements and update inventory records in the system.
- Analyze fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving products.
Purchase Planning & Procurement
- Review stock requirements and prepare purchase plans.
- Generate and follow up on purchase orders with suppliers.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding product availability, lead times, and deliveries.
- Maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
Expiry & Stock Analysis
- Monitor product expiry dates and generate expiry reports.
- Identify near-expiry products and recommend clearance actions.
- Reduce inventory losses through effective stock rotation and planning.
- Maintain batch-wise inventory records where applicable.
Pricing & Margin Analysis
- Calculate selling prices based on landed costs and target margins.
- Analyze product profitability and pricing structures.
- Assist in promotional pricing, discounts, and offer planning.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends.
Wholesale Customer Handling
- Process wholesale orders and coordinate dispatch schedules.
- Prepare quotations, price lists, and customer communications.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and availability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale clients.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Generate stock valuation, purchase analysis, and sales reports.
- Maintain accurate product master data and pricing information.
- Support management with inventory and business performance insights.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Inventory Management and Stock Control.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Reports).
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
