Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HR & Operations Manager to oversee both human resource management and end-to-end operations of our EV scooter manufacturing unit. The role involves managing production planning, workforce administration, employee relations, recruitment, training, compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth coordination between people, processes, and production systems to achieve high-quality output and timely delivery of electric scooters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily production operations to achieve production targets and ensure workforce alignment.
- Oversee end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, attendance, payroll coordination, and employee lifecycle management.
- Plan and monitor manufacturing schedules to ensure timely output and optimal manpower utilization.
- Develop and implement workforce planning strategies based on production requirements.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams for seamless operations.
- Ensure adherence to HR policies, labor laws, statutory compliance, and workplace safety regulations.
- Handle employee relations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary actions when required.
- Drive training and development programs for shop floor employees and supervisors.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods in coordination with operations teams.
- Support performance management systems and employee engagement initiatives.
- Analyze production and workforce data to improve productivity and reduce attrition.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to minimize machine downtime.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other operational excellence initiatives.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production, HR, and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM in HR / Operations Management is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and production planning.
- Experience in HR operations, labor management, and employee relations.
- Experience in EV, automobile, or two-wheeler manufacturing industry.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and statutory compliance.
- Inventory and warehouse coordination knowledge.
- Quality management systems and process improvement.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and 5S.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in EV scooter or automobile assembly plants.
- Exposure to battery pack assembly, motor assembly, and vehicle testing processes.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards, EHS compliance, and HR compliance systems.
