About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn Junior QA Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers or early-career professionals who are passionate about software quality and testing. You will work alongside senior engineers and developers to help ensure our digital products meet high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in manual testing of websites, web applications, and digital products.
- Learn and contribute to writing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios under senior guidance.
- Identify, document, and report bugs using bug tracking tools such as Jira or Trello.
- Support validation of UI/UX, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Participate in functional, smoke, sanity, and regression testing activities.
- Collaborate with developers and designers to understand requirements and flag issues.
- Take part in sprint ceremonies — planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Assist in preparing QA reports and maintaining basic testing documentation.
- Gradually learn automation testing tools and frameworks with team support.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Manual Testing concepts and principles.
- Awareness of software testing types: functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration.
- Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum concepts (from coursework or self-study is acceptable).
- Basic exposure to any automation tool — Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Jest (academic projects welcome).
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript for writing simple test scripts.
- Familiarity with Git and version control basics.
- Exposure to any bug tracking tool such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
- Basic understanding of how websites and web applications work.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and good communication skills.
Good to Have
- Any personal or academic project involving web testing or automation scripts.
- Basic exposure to API testing using Postman.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts or pipelines.
- Basic database or SQL knowledge for data validation.
- Awareness of accessibility, performance, or security testing basics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (pursuing or completed) in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Internship or training in software testing is a plus — not mandatory.
- Self-learners with relevant certifications (ISTQB Foundation, Udemy, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
Pay: Up to ₹300,000.00 per year
