Job Title: Painter
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Painter to maintain the visual appeal and upkeep of our hotel’s interiors and exteriors. The Painter will be responsible for surface preparation, painting, polishing, and minor repair works across guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and hotel facilities. The role requires attention to detail, a good understanding of color combinations, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes while minimizing disruption to hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out painting, varnishing, polishing, and touch-up work in guest rooms and public areas.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers.
- Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes.
- Perform minor repair and maintenance tasks such as patching walls, fixing damp spots, and repairing chipped surfaces.
- Ensure safe use of painting tools, ladders, scaffolding, and chemicals.
- Maintain inventory of painting materials and report needs for replenishment.
- Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance team for scheduled maintenance and urgent requests.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and restored after completion.
- Follow hotel safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Painter, preferably in hotels or commercial buildings.
- Knowledge of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and color matching.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and equipment handling.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
- ITI certification in Painter/Construction (preferred but not mandatory).
