Job Title: Production Supervisor – CNC Machine Manufacturing
Location: Mysore, Karnataka
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily shop-floor operations and ensure the timely and efficient production of CNC machines and components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, machining operations, and workforce management, with a strong focus on quality, productivity, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities and ensure adherence to production schedules.
- Monitor CNC machine assembly, machining, and testing operations to achieve production targets.
- Allocate manpower effectively and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Design, and Service departments for smooth workflow.
- Monitor VMC, VTL, milling, turning, drilling, and assembly activities on the shop floor.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and safety procedures.
- Track production output, machine utilization, and productivity metrics.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
- Train and guide operators, technicians, and trainees on manufacturing best practices.
- Maintain production records, daily reports, and MIS documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and lean manufacturing practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related disciplines.
- 2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, machine building, CNC machine tools, or engineering industries.
- Experience supervising shop-floor operations and production teams.
- Knowledge of CNC machine assembly, machining processes, and manufacturing workflows.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand production documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of VMC, VTL, turning, milling, drilling, and assembly operations.
- Familiarity with production planning, quality systems, and safety standards.
- Experience with ERP/SAP systems and production reporting.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
