Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our Mobile / Containerized Design team. The ideal candidate will have 5+years of relevant experience, preferably in water treatment containerized design and new asset design engineering. This role requires strong engineering expertise, including the ability to review documents and drawings produced by the Gradiant Global Engineering Center in India and/or outsourced engineering consultants. Electrical &Instrumentation Engineer will lead Asset design and implement the asset design process, tools, best practices, safety reviews and team training / mentoring.
Responsibilities
Lead the Electrical and Control panel design and equipment selection and sizing for the Containerised for Water and Wastewater treatment plants or any other process treatment plant.
Provide design inputs to Create panel design and CAD drawings of engineered products / process equipment, including creation of general arrangement, assembly and fabrication drawings.
Understanding P&ID, PFD, Equipment / Pump datasheets, 3D design and detailing of skid/ Containerised based water treatment systems like UF, RO, EDI, CIP, UV, Softeners etc.,
Create Bill of Materials (BOMs) for the panels in enterprise resource planning (ERP / SAP) system.
Create and update meta data of designs and Drawings in PDM/PLM system (Vault Pro) for records, control and retrieval.
Cross-functional interaction/coordination to prepare plant electrical and control integrations drawings meeting the technical requirements.
Prepare panel and system integration RFQ’s , technical evaluations and work with venders for panel design, build and deliver.
Lead the panel build inspection and testing’s.
Collaborate with Project Manager to address technical decision, coordinate work and execute product development plan
Take direction from Engineering Manager to perform
Contributes as a team member in the development of projects carrying out assigned responsibilities in a timely, diligent, safe and professional manner
Ensuring the Quality of the Design and Services, and lead and support for the unit’s FAT.
Familiar with Gradiant’s new technologies, engineering design of Skids / modules, pipe supports, pipe racks.
Collaborate with QA/QC, Sourcing and Manufacturing
support the internal and external design reviews, safety and HAZOP reviews and maintain the document controls
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations throughout the Design lifecycle.
Requirements
BE Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Similar)
Minimum 5+ years’ experience the panel designs for the Water Treatments plants
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in AutoCAD or other Electrical panel design tools.
Experience in plant and equipment design & detail engineering in the domain of Water and Wastewater Treatment is preferred or similar experience in the Oil & Gas, Chemical process and Power plants can be considered
Knowledge in global Electrical design Standard, such as UL, NEMA and CE standards
Knowledge in the major PLC controls system, such as Alan Bradley, Siemens
Proficiency in computer skills like MS Office, 3D model review.
Detail engineering of complex/ skid-based /module-based treatment / stick-built systems/plants.
Familiar with industry related standards and specifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of management.
Ability to travel as required for project needs.
Experience working in a multicultural environment and in an international business.
