Role Overview
As the Sales Manager, you will drive the revenue engine for India Hard Solar. This role is not just about direct selling; it is about building, motivating, and managing a high-performing team of sales executives and a multi-tiered Solar Partner Referral Network.
You will oversee the entire residential and commercial sales lifecycle—from initial lead generation and quotation to coordinating with operations for documentation, financing, and final commissioning under national subsidy frameworks like the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales Leadership & Network Management
- Build & Scale Agent Networks: Recruit, train, and manage field executives and independent Solar Partner Referral agents.
- Drive Network Performance: Implement and track the rank and reward system for referral partners, ensuring high motivation, clear commission structures, and consistent lead flow.
- Lead by Example: Directly handle high-value Commercial & Industrial (C&I) clients, government project tenders, and complex institutional sales.
2. Pipeline & Workflow Management
- End-to-End Tracking: Oversee the full 11-step project pipeline within our CRM (Zoho Ecosystem)—ensuring leads smoothly transition from quotation, site survey, and registration to installation and net metering.
- Financing & Subsidy Coordination: Assist clients with solar loan applications and clear navigation of central/state subsidy structures to maximize conversion rates.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the technical and installation teams to ensure accurate site assessment data and smooth handover of won deals.
3. Strategy & Market Expansion
- Local Market Expansion: Identify and tap into high-potential residential clusters and commercial hubs across Raipur, Bilaspur, and neighboring regions.
- B2B Partnerships: Establish relationships with local developers, architects, and contractors to integrate solar solutions into upcoming construction projects.
- Reporting: Maintain clean dashboards in Zoho CRM to monitor monthly sales targets, agent performance, conversion rates, and pipeline bottlenecks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of core sales experience, with a proven track record in the Solar Energy (Rooftop PV) sector, consumer durables, or real estate/construction supplies.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing field sales teams and handling dealer/distributor or multi-level referral networks.
- Tech-Savvy: Strong familiarity with modern CRM tools (experience with Zoho CRM / Zoho Books workflows is highly preferred) to manage pipelines digitally.
- Domain Knowledge: A solid grasp of solar tech specifications (modules, inverters), net metering policies, and the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana guidelines.
- Communication & Location: Native or business-level fluency in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi is crucial for building trust with local residential clients and field partners, along with strong professional English for corporate/B2B interactions.
