Job Summary
AVM Labs is looking for a responsible and performance-driven Last Mile Officer (LMO) to supervise last-mile sample pickup and transportation operations across assigned hubs, routes, and client locations.
The LMO will be responsible for team management, cold-chain compliance, PTAT performance, field service quality, client relationship management, route optimization, and LME performance.
The role requires strong field supervision, operational discipline, problem-solving ability, and the ability to manage a team of Last Mile Executives effectively.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality & Cold-Chain Management
- Monitor and ensure 2°C–8°C cold-chain compliance from sample pickup to laboratory handover.
- Monitor daily PTAT dashboards across all LME routes.
- Ensure ≥95% PTAT compliance against the committed pickup-to-lab window.
- Conduct random chiller-box temperature checks at pickup and handover.
- Ensure gel packs are properly conditioned before routes begin.
- Take immediate corrective action for temperature excursions or cold-chain deviations.
LME Workforce Management
- Manage and reconcile the daily LME attendance roster.
- Plan leave and backup coverage.
- Monitor absenteeism and escalate repeated attendance issues.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly LME performance reviews.
- Identify skill gaps and conduct refresher training.
- Ensure planned reviews and training sessions are completed on schedule.
Field Service Excellence
- Monitor real-time tracking dashboards for pickup and delivery performance.
- Re-route or reassign LMEs when required to prevent delays.
- Maintain ≥95% on-time performance.
- Ensure LMEs follow AVM Labs uniform, ID, LME bag, chiller box, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor geo-fence compliance and maintain ≥95% visit adherence.
Client Relationship & Pickup Reliability
- Act as the first point of escalation for client complaints.
- Investigate complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a target of zero client complaints.
- Coordinate with collection centres and clients to minimise missed or failed pickups.
- Drive continuous improvement in successful pickup percentage.
Cost & Route Optimization
- Optimise routes and pickup clustering to reduce transportation costs.
- Reduce fuel/vehicle cost per sample without compromising TAT or cold-chain requirements.
- Monitor monthly Sample Transport Cost (STC) reports.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
