Job Title: Psychology Teacher
Reports To: Principal / Head of Department
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Teacher to join our school faculty. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, inspire students' interest in psychology, assess academic progress, and contribute to a positive learning environment. The candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, effective teaching skills, and a commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver psychology lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and academic standards.
Teach core psychology topics, including learning, memory, motivation, personality, intelligence, emotions, social behavior, and mental health.
Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
Evaluate student performance through tests, projects, presentations, and classroom activities.
Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and application of psychological concepts to real-life situations.
Maintain classroom discipline and create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic performance.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school events.
Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Stay updated on current developments in psychology and educational practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
Master's degree in Psychology
Teaching qualification/certification as required by the school or educational board.
Prior teaching experience is preferred.
