About Us
Global Water Solutions (GWS) is a global leader in water enhancement and pressure tank solutions, delivering clean water technologies worldwide. As part of our continued expansion in India, we are strengthening our in-house engineering capabilities particularly in electronics, embedded systems, and connected devices to support next-generation water dispensing and treatment products.
This role is part of our strategic effort to build strong internal electronics capability at our Hosur facility, enabling us to efficiently execute multiple concurrent development programs while reducing dependency on limited engineering resources.
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Electronics Engineer with over 3 years of hands-on experience to join our engineering team. This role bridges the gap between hardware design and practical verification. You will be actively involved in the design phase while taking ownership of hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging. If you love spending time at the test bench diagnosing complex circuit issues and translating those findings into better hardware designs, this role is for you.
The role will work closely with senior engineers to support current and next-generation products such as water dispensers, RO systems, filtration systems, UV-C controllers, and connected devices. The position also plays an important role in building future IoT-enabled product capabilities and internal engineering depth.
The ideal candidate is practical, technically hands-on, and comfortable working across both product development and manufacturing support environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Bring-Up & Debugging: Take charge of new prototype bring-up. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and root-cause hardware failures or bugs using standard lab equipment.
- Circuit Design Assistance: Assist senior engineers with component selection, schematic capture, and small-to-medium complexity PCB design changes using EDA tools.
- Hardware Testing & Verification: Develop and execute test plans to verify hardware functionality, signal integrity, and power performance against design specifications.
- Rework & Prototyping: Perform manual soldering and rework on surface-mount technology (SMT) components for quick prototyping and testing iterations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed test logs, compile test reports, and document bugs to give the design team actionable feedback.
- Compliance Testing: Assist in preparing hardware for regulatory and environmental testing (e.g., EMI/EMC, thermal testing, ESD immunity).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Design & Technical Skills
- EDA Tools: Familiarity with PCB design software such as Altium Designer, KiCad.
- Circuit Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic analog circuits (filters, power regulators) and digital interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in electronics engineering, with a significant portion dedicated to hardware development, testing, and validation.
Testing & Lab Skills
- Lab Equipment Mastery: Proficient in operating digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
- Root-Cause Analysis: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify hardware faults, component failures, and signal quality issues.
- Soldering: Solid manual soldering skills down to 0603/0402 component sizes, including fine-pitch ICs.
Behavioral & Functional Skills
- Strong practical problem-solving ability (not purely theoretical).
- Ability to work across both product development and factory environments.
- Good communication skills for coordination with local vendors and global teams.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of growing into a broader engineering role.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- Exposure to IoT systems, app integration, or cloud-connected product architecture.
- Familiarity with embedded platforms such as ESP32 or similar.
- Experience with connected devices or mobile app-integrated products.
- Background in consumer appliances, water treatment systems, or controller-based products.
Why Join Us?
- Opportunity to build core electronics capability within a growing global organization.
- Work on innovative, real-world products in water treatment and connected systems.
- High learning exposure across embedded systems, PCB design, and IoT-enabled products.
- Collaborative environment with global engineering teams.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary package
- Health insurance
- International exposure
- Performance-based annual bonus
- Professional, supportive, and growth-oriented work environment
