- Text Conversion: Accurately translating documents, books, scripts, or audio recordings from a source language into a target language.
- Cultural Adaptation: Localizing content by appropriately adapting idioms, slang, and cultural references so the material resonates with local readers.
- Terminology Management: Researching and standardizing industry-specific terminology (e.g., medical, legal, or technical fields).
Editing & Quality Assurance
- Proofreading: Thoroughly reviewing translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors to deliver a polished final product.
- Format Preservation: Ensuring the layout, font, and overall structure of the translated document match the original work.
- Fact-Checking: Verifying data, measurements, and factual references within the text prior to delivery.
Technical & Administrative Duties
- Utilizing Translation Tools: Leveraging CAT tools (like Trados or memoQ) to maintain translation memories and glossaries for consistency.
- Client & Expert Consultation: Liaising with subject matter experts, authors, and clients to clarify ambiguous source text and ensure specific requirements are met.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
