In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing PEB projects from the post-award stage through to successful erection and handover. Coordinate with the internal engineering/design team to ensure Approval Drawings and Issued-for-Construction (IFC) drawings are released on time.
2. Manufacturing & Logistics Coordination
Monitor fabrication progress at the plant to ensure PEB primary and secondary members, cladding sheets, and accessories match the site erection sequence.
Manage logistics, material dispatch, and tracking to minimize site idle time and avoid demurrage.
3. Site Execution & Contractor Management
Oversee site mobilization, layout marking, and anchor bolt casting checks prior to PEB delivery.
Supervise, evaluate, and manage PEB erection certified sub-contractors.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and sequential un-loading of PEB components on-site to prevent damage or mismatch.
4. Billing, Budget & Cost Control
Track project cash flow, approve subcontractor bills, and raise progressive invoices to the client based on tonnage erected/milestones achieved.
Monitor variations/deviations from the original scope of work and raise variations/change orders promptly.
5. Quality Assurance & E-H-S (Environment, Health, & Safety)
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols for high-altitude work (proper scaffolding, life-lines, safety nets, and crane stability).
Ensure alignment, torqueing of high-strength bolts, and leak-proof sheeting installation according to PEB standard manufacturing specifications.
Education & Experience
- Degree: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience in project management, dedicated strictly to the PEB industry.
Technical Competencies
- Thorough understanding of PEB structural concepts, connection details, and erection methodologies.
Proficiency in reading PEB shop drawings, structural drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Hands-on experience with project management software
Familiarity with heavy lifting equipment (cranes, boom lifts) capabilities and rigging plans.
Soft Skills
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills to manage clients and sub-contractors.
- Excellent communication skills to manage cross-functional alignment (Plant, Logistics, Sales, Engineering)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project sites simultaneously.
