About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Compliance & Operations professional to manage regulatory reporting, depository operations, and compliance functions for a stock broking / depository participant business. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to NSE, BSE, CDSL, and SEBI regulatory frameworks, along with a strong understanding of client fund management, portfolio management services (PMS), and internal audit processes.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
- Upload daily holding and segregation files to NSE and BSE, ensuring timely regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and deliver compliance reports to NSE, BSE, and CDSL on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual basis.
- Execute half-yearly internal audit compliance and net worth submissions for NSE, BSE, and CDSL.
- Monitor and disseminate daily circulars and announcements from NSE, BSE, CDSL, and SEBI across internal teams.
- Draft and formulate internal policies aligned with NSE, BSE, CDSL, and SEBI requirements for stock brokers and depository participants.
Operations & Client Fund Management
- Manage N-MASS for client allocation and upstream/downstream fund movements.
- Administer CIM login access for client fund operations.
- Oversee Portfolio Management Services (PMS) accounts, ensuring data accuracy and client confidentiality.
- Use the CDSL Back Office Portal (CDAS) for daily depository operations and quarterly surveillance reporting.
- Facilitate monthly and quarterly client settlements.
Risk & Surveillance
- Review alerts related to client margin shortfall, MTM shortfall, non-settlement of running accounts, and securities pledging.
- Monitor invocation of pledge and inactive client alerts.
- Conduct stock reconciliation and investigate off-market transactions.
- Evaluate NCL buy/sell alerts to mitigate compliance risk.
- Assess member submissions against early warning parameters and escalate red flags.
- Draft penalty intimation letters for member non-compliance.
- Ensure strict adherence to SLA and TAT for all inspection and reporting activities.
Audit Coordination
- Liaise with internal and external auditors on treasury, forward confirmation, derivative deals, and interbank transaction reviews.
- Support audits covering CCIL reporting, repo/reverse repo, CSGL, SGL reconciliation, and related treasury operations where required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field; PGDM/MBA in Finance preferred.
- 3-6 years of experience in capital markets compliance, depository operations, or treasury audit.
- Working knowledge of NSE, BSE, CDSL, and SEBI regulatory frameworks and reporting cycles.
- Prior exposure to stockbroker inspection, offsite surveillance, or exchange compliance functions is a strong plus.
- Experience with treasury/back-office systems (e.g., Finacle, Murex) and audit of forward confirmations, derivative deals, or interbank transactions is advantageous.
- Familiarity with PMS account management and client fund administration.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong regulatory and risk assessment acumen.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple regulatory deadlines (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, annual).
- Sound written communication skills, including drafting formal compliance/penalty correspondence.
- Basic technical proficiency (MS Office; exposure to HTML/CSS or software fundamentals is a plus, not mandatory).
- Discretion in handling confidential client and financial data.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
