The Admission Counselor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admission process, providing accurate information about courses and programs, and supporting enrollment targets. The role involves student interaction, counseling, follow-ups, and coordination with internal departments to ensure a smooth admission process.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counseling & Guidance
- Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, eligibility, admission procedures, and career opportunities.
- Understand student requirements and recommend suitable programs.
- Provide complete and accurate information about academic programs and institutional policies.
Admission Process Management
- Assist students in completing admission forms and documentation.
- Verify student documents and eligibility criteria.
- Coordinate with academic and administrative departments for admission approvals.
- Maintain records of student applications and admission data.
Lead Handling & Follow-ups
- Handle student inquiries received through calls, emails, walk-ins, and online platforms.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with prospective students to support enrollment conversion.
- Maintain and update student data in CRM or admission software.
Outreach & Promotional Activities
- Participate in seminars, educational fairs, school visits, and promotional events.
- Build relationships with schools, coaching institutes, and educational partners.
- Support marketing and admission campaigns.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly admission reports.
- Coordinate with marketing, academic, and management teams regarding admission updates.
- Achieve assigned admission targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good counseling and convincing abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, CRM software).
- Ability to handle students and parents professionally.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
Experience
- Freshers with good communication skills can apply.
- Prior experience in admissions, counseling, sales, or customer service will be preferred.
