Job Title: Purchase Assistant
Location: Daman, Gujarat
Qualification: Graduation
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Support & Order Management
- Assist the Purchase Manager in processing Purchase Requisitions (PR) from production, maintenance, and store departments.
- Prepare and issue accurate Purchase Orders (POs) using the company’s ERP system.
- Follow up closely with vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials (e.g., plastic granules, resins, additives) and engineering components.
2. Vendor Coordination & Negotiation
- Coordinate with existing suppliers regarding delivery schedules, material specifications, and payment terms.
- Obtain multiple quotations from vendors, prepare comparative statements (quotation analysis), and assist in price negotiations.
- Maintain and update the master vendor database.
3. Documentation & Material Inwarding
- Verify supplier invoices against POs, Delivery Challans (DC), and Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
- Coordinate with the stores and Quality Control (QC) teams to resolve any material discrepancies, shortages, or quality rejections.
- Ensure all procurement documentation is properly filed, tracked, and sent to the accounts department for timely payment processing.
4. Inventory Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor stock levels of recurring consumables and packaging materials to prevent production downtime.
- Prepare weekly or monthly procurement MIS reports, including open PO status, pending deliveries, and supplier performance metrics.
