About The Diabesties Foundation
The Diabesties Foundation (TDF) is a non-profit organization pioneering Type 1 Diabetes care and advocacy since 2018. Through innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and community-driven initiatives, we work to improve access to insulin, education, and support— working with diverse stakeholders to drive sustainable and inclusive healthcare impact.
As we continue to expand our impact, we are looking for a highly skilled Graphic Designer to join the Founder’s Office and help translate ideas, data, and stories into compelling visual communication.
Role Summary
The Associate / Lead – Grants, Proposals & Resource Mobilization will play a key role in supporting the Foundation's resource mobilization efforts through grant research, proposal development, fundraising content creation, and donor prospecting. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with the ability to translate programmatic impact into compelling proposals, pitch decks, and donor communications while identifying funding opportunities aligned with the Foundation's mission.
Key Responsibilities
1. Grant Research & Opportunity Mapping
- Identify and track grant opportunities from foundations, CSR programs, philanthropic organizations, multilateral agencies, and other funding sources.
- Maintain a pipeline of funding opportunities and submission deadlines.
- Research prospective donors, funding platforms, and institutional partners aligned with Diabesties Foundation's work.
2. Proposal & Grant Writing
- Lead the development of high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, letters of inquiry, and funding applications.
- Collaborate with program teams to gather data, impact stories, budgets, and supporting documentation for proposals.
- Tailor proposals to donor priorities while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and programs.
3. Fundraising Content Development
- Develop compelling fundraising collaterals including pitch decks, donor presentations, case statements, impact summaries, and partnership proposals.
- Support the creation of donor-facing communication materials in collaboration with the Communications team and Founder’s office.
- Translate program outcomes and impact metrics into persuasive narratives for funders and stakeholders.
4. Donor & Proposal Management
- Track proposal submissions, deadlines, reporting requirements, and donor communication.
- Maintain accurate records of funding opportunities, applications, and outcomes.
- Support the preparation of grant reports, progress updates, and donor stewardship materials.
5. Strategic Resource Mobilization Support
- Support fundraising campaigns and institutional fundraising initiatives.
- Identify relevant fundraising platforms, competitions, accelerators, and award opportunities.
- Provide insights on emerging donor trends and funding landscapes within healthcare and development sectors.
- Undertake travel, as required, to support donor meetings, conferences, events, and other strategic resource mobilization opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Development Studies, Public Health, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Policy, or a related field. Graduates from top-tier institutions will be preferred.
- 4–5 years of experience in resource mobilization, institutional fundraising, grant writing, donor engagement, or strategic partnerships.
- Demonstrated success in developing grant proposals, concept notes, and other donor-facing communications.
- Excellent writing, editing, research, and storytelling skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in developing compelling presentations and fundraising materials for institutional donors and senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CSR funding, philanthropic foundations, and nonprofit fundraising.
- Interest in healthcare, public health, or the social impact sector.
- Familiarity with the Type 1 Diabetes ecosystem will be an added advantage.
