Job Title: Transport Coordinator
Location: Siliguri, West Bengal
Salary: ₹20,000/- per month (Final based on interview & experience)
Job Description:
- Manage vehicle sourcing and transportation operations
- Coordinate with the sales team for vehicle requirements
- Search and arrange vehicles as per business needs
- Negotiate rates with transporters and vendors
Responsibilities:
- Arrange vehicles for daily dispatch and logistics needs
- Coordinate closely with the sales team for timely delivery
- Negotiate transportation rates to optimize costs
- Maintain records of trips, drivers, and vehicle details
- Ensure timely placement of vehicles as per schedule
- Communicate with transporters and resolve issues
- Monitor vehicle movement and update concerned teams
Requirements:
- Graduate in any discipline
- 2-3 years of experience required
- Prior experience in transport/logistics coordination preferred
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and operations
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel preferred)
- Knowledge of local transport network is an advantage
