Job Summary
The System Administrator cum Transport Incharge is responsible for maintaining the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth functioning of all computer systems, networks, internet connectivity, CCTV, ERP, and digital resources while also managing the school's transportation system. The role requires effective coordination with staff, transport vendors, drivers, parents, and service providers to ensure safe, timely, and efficient transport operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the school's LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and network security.
- Manage user accounts, email IDs, passwords, and access permissions.
- Ensure regular backup and recovery of school data.
- Install and update operating systems, antivirus software, and applications.
- Maintain CCTV surveillance systems and biometric attendance systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly.
- Coordinate with external vendors for AMC, repairs, and procurement of IT equipment.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
- Support ERP, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital classroom technologies.
- Ensure cybersecurity practices and data confidentiality are followed.
- Provide technical support during school events, examinations, meetings, and presentations.
- Maintain records of software licenses, warranties, and service reports.
B. Transport Management
- Prepare and manage daily transport routes and schedules.
- Coordinate with bus drivers, attendants, transport contractors, and parents.
- Ensure timely arrival and departure of school buses.
- Maintain student transport records and route allocations.
- Monitor GPS tracking systems and resolve transport-related issues.
- Ensure buses comply with safety norms and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, insurance, pollution certificates, permits, and fitness certificates.
- Maintain records of driver licenses, police verification, medical fitness, and other compliance documents.
- Handle transport-related parent queries and complaints professionally.
- Conduct regular inspections of buses to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Maintain transport attendance and route reports.
C. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain proper documentation and reports related to IT and transport operations.
- Coordinate with vendors for quotations, purchases, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE and government safety guidelines.
- Support school events requiring audio-visual or technical arrangements.
- Perform any additional administrative responsibilities assigned by the management.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, hardware, and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of servers, backups, firewalls, and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with school ERP software and CCTV systems.
- Excellent planning and coordination skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues efficiently.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Networking (CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Valid driving knowledge and experience in transport coordination will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in System Administration and IT Support.
- Experience in managing school transport operations is preferred.
Pay: ₹9,847.59 - ₹18,827.51 per month
