Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic and result-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead and grow our sales operations in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing distributor/dealer networks, building strong customer relationships, and driving market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Manage and expand distributor, dealer, and retailer networks
- Identify new business opportunities and increase market penetration
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends
- Lead, motivate, and guide the sales team to improve performance
- Conduct regular market visits and customer meetings
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy receivables
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and territory performance analysis
- Coordinate with marketing and operations teams for smooth execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG / Pharma / Building Materials / Consumer Durables (customize as needed)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory
- Proficiency in MS Excel and CRM tools is preferred
