Role Overview
The Junior Lawyer will support the organization on legal, regulatory, compliance, contractual, and operational matters related to brokerage and real estate activities. The role requires strong drafting, negotiation, regulatory interpretation, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Drafting & Review
- Draft, review, and negotiate:
- Brokerage agreements
- Lease agreements
- Leave & license agreements
- Sale agreements
- Memorandums of understanding (MOUs)
- Vendor and consultant agreements
- Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
- Ensure legal accuracy and commercial viability of all agreements.
Real Estate Legal Support
- Conduct title verification and due diligence for residential and commercial properties.
- Review property documents including:
- Title deeds
- Conveyance deeds
- Development agreements
- Society documents
- RERA documentation
- Encumbrance-related records
- Coordinate with external counsels, developers, and government authorities when required.
Compliance & Regulatory Work
- Ensure compliance with RERA, local municipal laws, stamp duty requirements, registration laws, and brokerage regulations.
- Maintain legal documentation and compliance trackers.
- Support management in handling notices, legal correspondence, and statutory matters.
Dispute Management
- Assist in handling client disputes, recovery matters, contractual disputes, and property-related legal issues.
- Coordinate with litigation and non litigation counsels and monitor ongoing legal matters.
- Prepare legal summaries and case documentation.
Media & Commercial Contracts
- Draft and negotiate:
- Influencer agreements
- Content licensing agreements
- Advertising and sponsorship contracts
- Production and marketing agreements
- Review intellectual property usage rights and brand protection matters.
- Support digital/media business operations from a legal and compliance perspective.
Corporate & Compliance
- Maintain legal documentation, notices, and corporate records.
- Assist in managing company compliance requirements and internal policies.
- Coordinate with finance, operations, and leadership teams on risk management.
- Monitor changes in laws affecting real estate, advertising, media, and digital businesses.
Business Advisory
- Provide practical legal guidance to sales and business teams.
- Identify legal and commercial risks in transactions and recommend solutions.
- Support management during negotiations and high-value transactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM preferred).
- Strong understanding of real estate laws and property transactions.
- Experience in real estate, brokerage, media, advertising, or startup ecosystem preferred.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong knowledge of RERA, registration processes, and contract law.
- Ability to independently manage legal documentation and deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Preferred Profile
- Prior experience in real estate brokerage or property advisory.
- Exposure to both commercial and residential transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deal-oriented environment.
- Practical problem-solving mindset with business-oriented legal judgment.
Experience Required
4–7 years of relevant experience in real estate, property law, brokerage transactions, contract management, or corporate legal advisory.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Santacruz, Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Real estate law: 4 years (Preferred)
