Blockchain Developer Intern — Nextroy Dynamics Private Limited, Hyderabad
We’re seeking a Blockchain Developer Intern to explore decentralized solutions, smart contracts, and blockchain integrations that can add value to our EdTech products—such as credential verification, secure data sharing, and incentive/reward systems for learners. You’ll prototype on public and private chains, write smart contracts, and collaborate with backend and product teams to evaluate real-world use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test smart contracts (Solidity, Vyper) for use cases like verifiable certificates, tokenized incentives, or immutable logs.
- Build and integrate backend services to interact with blockchain networks using Web3 libraries (web3.js, ethers.js), and frameworks like Hardhat or Truffle.
- Prototype decentralized applications (dApps) with simple front-end integrations (React/Next.js) to demonstrate workflows (wallet connect, MetaMask).
- Work with testnets (Goerli, Sepolia, Mumbai) and local development chains; deploy contracts and run end-to-end tests.
- Implement token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721/ERC-1155) where relevant and design minimal governance/permission patterns for private use-cases.
- Help evaluate scalability and cost trade-offs (layer-2 solutions, sidechains) and suggest off-chain/on-chain hybrid approaches.
- Write unit and integration tests for smart contracts, run security checks (Slither, MythX, Echidna), and follow secure-contract development practices.
- Integrate blockchain identity and credential verification flows for student certificates or achievement badges.
- Document architecture, APIs, and deployment steps; maintain clear code and version-control practices (Git).
- Collaborate with product, legal, and operations teams to assess compliance, privacy, and practicality of blockchain features.
Requirements:
- Pursuing or recently completed B.Tech/M.Tech/MSc in Computer Science or related field.
- 0–1 year internship experience or demonstrable project/portfolio work in blockchain development, smart contracts, or dApp prototyping.
- Proficiency in Solidity; familiarity with smart contract tooling (Hardhat, Truffle, Brownie) and Web3 libraries (web3.js, ethers.js).
- Basic knowledge of front-end integration (React) and how wallets (MetaMask) and signing workflows work.
- Understanding of blockchain fundamentals: consensus, gas costs, transactions, and account models.
- Familiarity with testing and security tools for smart contracts and awareness of common vulnerabilities (reentrancy, integer overflow, unchecked calls).
- Comfortable with Node.js, REST APIs, and backend integration patterns.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to secure coding practices.
- Good communication in English, Hindi, and/or Telugu; ability to explain blockchain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Interest in EdTech use cases and pragmatic approaches to adoption.
- Available for 6-day shifts (9 AM - 6 PM) or flexible hours for students.
