About Accomate
Accomate AUS Global Services Pvt. Ltd. is an offshore partner for mortgage brokers and accounting firms in Australia and the United States, operating from Ahmedabad, India. For our mortgage broker clients, we manage end-to-end loan processing on their behalf — from application preparation through to settlement — enabling brokers to scale their businesses while maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and turnaround.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced mortgage operations leader to lead a team of loan processors handling the end-to-end processing of mortgage files for our Australian broker clients. Your team will process a high volume of loan applications across a broad panel of Australian lenders. You will be accountable for the quality and turnaround of the team’s output, for developing the team’s capability, and for driving process improvements that raise overall performance. Success in this role requires deep mortgage processing expertise, strong people leadership, sound analytical judgement, and the ability to communicate clearly across brokers, lenders, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of loan processors.
Manage workforce planning, workload allocation, and capacity to ensure consistent delivery across varying volumes.
Serve as the team’s senior subject-matter expert, providing guidance on complex processing scenarios and escalations.
Partner with the marketing and HR teams to anticipate upcoming work volumes and ensure timely hiring and resourcing.
Partner with HR and management on the team’s appraisal and performance-review cycle.
Processing Quality & Compliance
Conduct periodic file reviews and audits to confirm that processing is completed accurately and consistently, in line with lender policies and internal standards.
Ensure all processing activities comply with applicable Australian obligations, including responsible lending and Best Interests Duty requirements.
Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation across all files.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Identify trends, recurring errors, and opportunities for improvement through systematic review of the team’s work.
Distinguish between isolated issues and systemic gaps using data-driven analysis, and act on the difference.
Standardise processes through documented SOPs and checklists to ensure consistency across the team.
Develop and maintain training modules, and deliver training to new joiners and to existing team members identified through evaluation as needing support.
Stay current with new aggregator and lender products, and with government and regulatory policy changes that may affect processing.
Client Management
Act as the primary escalation point for client concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Gather regular feedback from clients on team performance and service quality, and act on it.
Process Innovation
Evaluate existing processing workflows to identify where AI and automation can improve speed, accuracy, and productivity.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in Australian mortgage processing or mortgage operations, including 2+ years leading or managing processing teams.
Deep, hands-on knowledge of the Australian mortgage processing lifecycle.
Sound understanding of Australian lending guidelines and compliance requirements. Hands-on experience with major aggregator and broker CRM platforms, such as Salestrekker, Infynity, MyCRM, and Mercury Nexus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
