Job Description: Women Health Physiotherapist
Role Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Women's Health Physiotherapist specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) to provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services for women across all stages of life, including pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic health, and gynecological conditions. The ideal candidate will work closely with gynecologists, obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based patient care.
Candidate should be based in Bangalore for face to face discussion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat women with pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and chronic pelvic pain.
- Provide antenatal and postnatal physiotherapy services, including exercise prescription and recovery programs.
- Manage pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions such as back pain, pelvic girdle pain, and postural dysfunction.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using exercise therapy, manual therapy, education, and rehabilitation techniques.
- Conduct pelvic floor assessments and provide pelvic floor rehabilitation programs.
- Educate patients on posture, breathing techniques, pelvic health, and lifestyle modifications.
- Support recovery following gynecological surgeries and childbirth-related conditions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in clinical audits, continuing education, and service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT).
- Valid Physiotherapy registration/license.
- Certification or specialized training in Women's Health / Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in Women's Health, OBGYN, Pelvic Health, or related physiotherapy practice preferred.
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide empathetic and confidential patient care.
