Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate workflow across manufacturing and procurement to meet production timelines
- Review master production schedules and work orders; prioritize based on demand, capacity, and material availability
- Maintain accurate records of goods ordered, received, and inventory movement
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for materials, equipment, and supplies
- Prepare, process, and review purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, and claims
- Control purchasing budgets and ensure compliance with company policies
- Strategically manage logistics, warehousing, transportation, and customer service operations
- Monitor stock levels, delivery timelines, transport costs, and logistics efficiency
- Prepare batch-wise production and inventory reports
- Implement and monitor quality control programs for inbound and outbound goods
- Handle vendor performance monitoring against SLAs and contractual metrics
- Maintain an up-to-date logistics cost and vendor database
- Resolve logistics, transportation, import/export, and customer-related issues
- Manage and supervise 3PL partners (packing, warehousing, last-mile delivery)
- Verify physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies
- Recommend and support implementation of automation and process improvements
- Perform daily analysis of orders received, warehousing costs, and transportation costs
- Ensure orderly and compliant storage of materials in warehouses and storage areas
Education & Qualifications
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Production Engineering
- PG: Any Post Graduate (Any specialization)
- Doctorate: Not required
Skills & Competencies
- Strong critical thinking, logic, and problem-solving abilities
- Sound knowledge of production processes and vendor management
- In-depth understanding of on-ground logistics and supply chain operations
- Knowledge of logistics laws, legal codes, and compliance requirements
- Experience with warehouse and inventory management
- Hands-on experience with WMS (Zoho preferred)
- Proficient in MS Office and email communication
- Strong coordination, negotiation, and people-management skills
- Proactive in identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High perseverance, ownership mindset, and customer-centric approach
