We are looking for a skilled professional to prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for international infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and railways. The role involves ensuring accurate pricing, risk assessment, and competitive bid preparation in line with project and contractual requirements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Prepare tender summaries, risk assessments, and key project parameters.
- Conduct international tender site visits to assess real-time site conditions, identify potential risks and opportunities, and evaluate their impact on the project.
- Identification of various material sources along the project corridor.
- Coordinate with design, planning, and contracts teams for technical inputs.
- Identify potential partners, subcontractors, and suppliers for the project.
- Prepare and issue RFQs/enquiries to vendors and subcontractors.
- Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate quotations and technical proposals.
- Ensure compliance with tender requirements and contractual conditions.
- Compile and prepare complete bid submissions (technical + commercial).
- Coordinate with internal teams to finalize methodology, construction approach, and schedules.
- Monitor tender timelines and ensure timely submission of bids.
- Handle clarifications and correspondence with clients during bidding stage.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including material, labor, equipment, overheads, and contingencies, and develop rate analysis for BOQ items.
- Analyze project costs to identify value engineering and cost optimization opportunities.
- Present detailed cost estimates to management for review and approval.
- Maintain and update cost databases for different countries/regions.
