Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Tamil Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create an engaging and culturally rich classroom environment that fosters a deep appreciation for the Tamil language and literature. You will guide students in developing their reading, writing, and speaking skills while inspiring a lifelong love for learning and regional heritage.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver comprehensive Tamil language lessons tailored to the primary school curriculum and NEP guidelines.
- Design interactive and age-appropriate activities to improve students' vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
- Assess and monitor each student’s language proficiency, maintaining detailed records of their academic progress.
- Cultivate a culturally vibrant classroom by introducing Tamil literature, folklore, and history.
- Organize and actively participate in school cultural events, language competitions, and regional festivals.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow educators to integrate language learning with other subjects where appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with parents through meetings and progress reports to build strong home-school partnerships.
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment at all times.
- Participate in professional development sessions, workshops, and staff meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tamil (B.A. or M.A. in Tamil) along with a B.Ed. degree.
- Experience: 1–3 years of teaching experience in a primary or middle school setting.
- Skills:
- Native-level fluency and impeccable grammar in Tamil.
- Good communication skills in English to collaborate with staff and administration.
- Strong classroom management abilities suited for diverse learning needs.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
- Ability to utilize modern teaching aids and activity-based learning methods.
