We are looking for a skilled PCB SMT and Thru-Hole Soldering Engineer / Technician to join our team. The role involves assembling, soldering, and inspecting PCB assemblies to meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform SMT (Surface Mount Technology) & Thru-Hole component soldering on PCB assemblies.
- Operate soldering tools, hot air rework stations, and inspection microscopes.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
- Perform manual placement, soldering, and rework of fine-pitch components (SMD, QFN, BGA preferred).
- Inspect solder joints to ensure compliance with IPC standards.
- Coordinate with production and QC teams to resolve assembly issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of ESD-sensitive components.
Requirements
- ITI / Diploma in Electronics or similar (preferred).
- 1-4 years of hands-on experience in PCB soldering (SMT & thru-hole).
- Good understanding of electronic components and PCB layouts.
- Ability to work with magnifiers / microscopes for fine-pitch soldering.
- Knowledge of IPC soldering standards (IPC-A-610) is a plus.
- Languages Known: Basic English & Tamil.
