We are seeking a fresher as Procurement Engineer specialising in the Water and Wastewater Treatment industry to oversee technical sourcing, vendor management, and material arrangement.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between process engineering, project management, and global supply chain operations. You will be responsible for sourcing specialized water treatment equipment (such as pumps, membranes, filtration units, valves, dosage systems, and instrumentation) while ensuring strict compliance with technical specifications, regulatory water quality standards, and budget constraints.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Sourcing & Material Evaluation
- Review Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and process design specifications to determine procurement requirements.
- Source specialized equipment for Water & Wastewater infrastructure, including equipment, material.
- Maintain records for the material purchased.
Vendor Management & Strategic Sourcing
- Conduct commercial and technical negotiations for major equipment packages to achieve optimal pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Develop strategic relationships with global and domestic manufacturers to secure robust supply chains and favourable warranty conditions.
Compliance, Costing & Risk Management
- Ensure all purchased materials adhere to relevant environmental, municipal, and industry standards
- Track commodity prices (stainless steel, specialised alloys, plastics/FRP) to mitigate material cost volatility.
- Identify potential supply chain bottlenecks and develop contingency plans to avoid project liquidated damages (LDs).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental,
- Experience: 0-1 year or fresher technical procurement or supply chain experience specifically within Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), or Desalination Plants (RO).
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
