A Line QC (Quality Control) Job is responsible for ensuring that products manufactured on a production line meet the required quality standards before they are packed or shipped.
Line QC Job Profile
Job Title: Line Quality Control (Line QC) Inspector / Executive
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Monitor the production line to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Identify defects, damages, or deviations from specifications.
- Record inspection results and prepare quality reports.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with production teams to correct quality issues.
- Stop production if serious quality problems are detected.
- Verify packaging, labeling, and product appearance.
- Follow safety and hygiene guidelines in the workplace.
Required Skills:
- Attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of quality control tools and inspection methods.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word).
- Knowledge of ISO, GMP, 5S, or other quality systems is an advantage.
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor's degree (depending on the industry).
- Freshers or candidates with 1–3 years of QC experience are commonly eligible.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing plants such as automotive, textiles, food processing, pharmaceuticals, electronics, or FMCG.
- Shift-based work may be required.
