Senior Staff Nurse – Job Description

Reports To: Nursing Superintendent
Job Summary
The Senior Staff Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care, supervising junior nursing staff, ensuring patient safety, maintaining accurate documentation, and complying with hospital policies and NABH standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and compassionate patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients and promptly report clinical changes.
- Supervise and guide Staff Nurses and Nursing Assistants.
- Maintain nursing documentation and patient records.
- Follow infection control, medication safety, and NABH protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare departments.
- Educate patients and attendants regarding treatment and discharge care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response.
Qualification
- GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC) Registration.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in a multispecialty hospital.
Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
