The Glass Production & Marking Operator is responsible for precisely measuring, calculating, and marking glass sheets or products prior to cutting, tempering, or finishing. This role combines a strong eye for detail with practical hand-eye coordination to identify defects, trace patterns, and ensure raw material is optimized with minimal waste.
Key Responsibilities
Measurement & Layout: Read blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to calculate dimensions and layout precise cutting lines on glass sheets.
Defect Identification: Inspect incoming raw glass sheets for spots, scars, scratches, or chips; mark defects clearly so cutting teams can work around them to minimize waste.
Pattern Template Work: Position physical patterns or jigs onto glass surfaces and accurately trace cutting outlines using specialized glass marking tools.
Equipment Operation: Set up, input coordinates, and monitor semi-automated or robotic glass laser-marking machinery for automatic tracking numbers or batch codes.
Quality Assurance: Use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify that layout markings match client specifications down to the millimeter.
Documentation: Maintain daily production logs, noting the number of pieces marked, sheet utilization rates, and material defects encountered.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
